Sole Traders and Partnerships that are required to complete a self assessment return. Please note that this course is not suitable if you trade as a limited company.
Course Objectives:
This ‘user friendly’ course will help you understand the records you need to keep, the requirements of self assessment and the data that you need to obtain and keep to complete your Self Assessment return. Practical support will be provided as to how to complete the self employment sections of the tax return.
Technical information will also be provided as to expenses that are ‘allowable’ – key information that will help ensure that you are getting the taxation benefit of all of your business related expenditure. Key dates and how to pay your tax will also be covered.

Which classes of NIC’s you will normally have to pay as a self employed person.

Turnover – what it includes and how to calculate it.
Cost of Sales formula explained and worked examples.
- How to submit your return on line
Guide to on line filing.
