The Liverpool Seed Fund
The Liverpool Seed Fund is a new £27m fund designed to harness the potential of fledgling ideas, technology and businesses. It is managed by Alliance Fund Managers, the Fund management company which manages MSIF.

The Scarman Trust is a national charity committed to helping citizens bring about change in their community, in the way that they want. It funds and gives practical assistance to hundreds of remarkable people with a 'can do' attitude.

Creativebias funding
The Creativebias ‘Business Generator’ is a business support programme that exists to help people who are serious about setting up a new business in the creative industries. This includes Music, Design, Fashion, Performing Arts, Contemporary Visual Arts and Crafts. It has a range of free services including business advice, IT training and practical workshops on subjects like project management and keeping financial records. It has supported businesses ranging from recording studios and online art galleries to freelance dancers and actors.

North West Business Investment Scheme
The Business Investment Scheme is a £18 million scheme to provide seed and venture capital investment to small and medium sized businesses using money allocated by the European Regional Development Fund for use in the North West areas designated as Objective 2 or Transitional.

Musicbias funding
MusicBias offers a range of support services aimed at helping music ventures on Merseyside progress through key phases of their development, from planning a business project through the early stages of growth to take-off. It seeks to achieve this by providing improved access to specialist business advice, skills development opportunities, mentoring, and practical assistance.

Knowsley MBC grants and funds
Existing businesses in Knowsley that have been trading between 6 and 24 months now have the chance to apply for up to £2000 to aid the development and improve the sustainability of their business. The scheme is intended to encourage further growth in new businesses in Knowsley and to try and reverse the trend of poor business survival rates that normally occurs fairly shortly after new businesses start up. Prince’s Trust Start Up Loan
The Prince's Trust helps people aged between 18-30 who are unemployed, under employed or of limited means to start their own businesses. For eligible applicants who have been refused finance from other sources they provide low interest loans of up to £5,000 and grants up to £1,500.

The Small Business Loan Scheme helps ex-Service people who are unemployed and planning to start up their own business. Loans up to £5000 are available interest free, repayable over 5 years.
