European Social Fund (ESF)
The European Social Fund (ESF) is one of four Structural Funds designed to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union. ESF money is awarded to applicant organisations which have successfully bid for funding. A project must be run by a legally constituted organisation, not sole traders or individuals.

European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
The European Regional Development Fund was set up in 1975 to stimulate economic development in the least prosperous regions of the European Union (EU). As EU membership has grown, the ERDF has developed into a major instrument for helping to redress regional imbalances. The Department for Transport, Local Government and the Regions manages the ERDF in England.

Learning Skills Council (LSC)
Blue Orchid can help you to access funding for training through Skillworks. This fund can provide up to a 60% subsidy towards the cost of training. It is a flexible, demand-led fund so you can decide the training programme best suited to your requirements.
Who is Eligible?
- Small and medium sized businesses employing less than 250 staff with an annual turnover of less than EUR 50 million.
- Your business must have a registered address in Merseyside, Wirral or St Helens.
